Who we are
The Other Hand is an independent art collective with unhinged PowerPoint energy. We explore art, media, and culture with video essays that ask, “What is this? And who let it get weird?”
We like to think of our work as homicidal memes dressed in the skin of academic papers. We believe in hot takes and cool edits. Our research involves caffeine, yelling, and too many browser tabs open. We don’t have a manifesto, just an ever-growing folder titled “this might be something”.
We make side projects when the moon is right, the hard drive is empty enough, and the vibes demand it.

“Juliette” ©️ 2025 Juliette Robinson
Juliette Robinson (she/they)
6 feet of ambition and unapologetic creativity, Juliette Robinson has been chasing her dreams since day one. Born in Northeast Ohio (it’s not as bad as you think), she was raised in a fundamentalist Christian cult, where autonomy and career goals were not celebrated. But Juliette found her escape through art, theatre, and ballet, dedicating 18 years of her life to the art form. Her parents, who nurtured her creativity despite their religious background, supported her pursuit of the arts, which led to a half-homeschool, half-college 2020 graduation.
After enrolling in a Film and Media Production degree at a Christian university her parents encouraged her to attend, she was met with severe homophobia. While the skills and friendships gained there were invaluable, a parking lot ‘exorcism’ for dating a woman was the final straw—and she left, moving to Connecticut in 2022.
After a two-year hiatus, Juliette is now powering through their Media Arts and Sciences degree at ASU, thanks to the Starbucks College Achievement Program. When she’s not brewing coffee or shaking cocktails, or pushing through homework, she’s modeling, acting, and working in media production. Having had the privilege of collaborating with industry giants like Noah Baumbach, Tom Hanks, Coco Rocha, and Greta Gerwig, she is thrilled to bring her experience and perspective to The Other Hand. She is ecstatic to share her passion for media, storytelling, and aesthetics with you and the rest of the world. Thanks for being here!
“Elijah” ©️ 2025 Elijah Singer
Elijah Singer (he/they)
A lifelong creative, Elijah has been writing since he was five years old when he debuted a comic about Paper-Boy, a superhero with all the powers of… paper. Thankfully, he’s improved a lot since then. Elijah won his first national writing competition when he was 18, and has placed in several international competitions since then.
He pours much of his creativity into screenwriting, but has expanded his horizons to include cinematography and editing. A cinephile since childhood, they are passionate about creating genre-bending postmodern works to upend the audience’s expectations with wit and soul.
Elijah is a true punk at heart. A New York City native, they are an activist and community leader with a strong background in labor reform. When he was 21, he became the youngest union president in AFT history, and passionately continues to support their local New England community.
Outside of writing, Elijah enjoys exploring alternative tabletop RPGs, bulking up their Letterboxd account, and expanding his eclectic taste in music. They are also often found exploring their local area and are an ongoing conquest to find the best Caesar salad wrap in Connecticut.
